Reus is located some 100 kms. South of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It has a population of 105,000 people and it’s the birthplace of Antoni Gaudi (Sagrada Familia in Barcelona) and General Joan Prim (President of Spain 1847-48). Reus is known for its commercial activity. The principal festivity is Sant Pere on June 29, declared of National Touristic Interest. It has several modernist buildings. Although Gaudí was born in Reus, there are no designed by him, but there is a center in which visitors can learn about his life and work. There are however numerous modernist buildings from colleagues as Lluís Domènech i Montaner, Pere Caselles i Tarrats and Pere Domènech Roura.
